Lismore City Concert Band is hosting a COMBINED BAND DAY – this exciting opportunity is a chance for being part of something bigger – allowing small (and large!) community bands to get together and play as a large ensemble! Lismore City Concert Band is providing the music and percussion instruments on the day.
Music for ALL – this is a day celebrating being part of community concert bands – we very much welcome entire bands coming along, however if you are an individual playing percussion, woodwind or brass you are welcome to come along too!
WHERE: Lismore Workers Club – Auditorium
WHEN: Sunday 24th September
WHO: Open to Concert bands as a group, as well as individuals.
COST: Best of all – It is FREE!!!!!!!!
The day will consist of meet-and greet, joint rehearsals of all members, performances from individual bands (if you would like your concert band to perform please contact Ben Van Kleef or message below), then a joint concert at the end of the day.
Audience members are welcome for the concert in the afternoon (just a gold coin donation for this). This will probably be from around 1pm on, with an interval – we will update this closer to the event when we have a better idea of numbers.
As the Lismore Workers club has kindly donated the use of the Auditorium we suggest that as a gesture of gratitude that band members purchase their lunch from the Lismore Workers Club.
If you are interested – individually or as a group – and wish to get a copy of the music in advance, or just if you have any questions, then contact our musical director Ben Van Kleef on 0432 575 911 or Contact Us via the link.
