Anzac day performance
Our performance at Lismore’s 2015 ANZAC Day Service was photographed by the Northern Star (click the image for a link).
A great performance, and lovely to be involved in remembering the ANZACs.
Founding conductor awarded Order of Australia Medal
John Allen, who founded the Lismore City Concert Band (then called the Northern Rivers Concert Band) back in 1979 has recently been awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia “For service to community music, particularly through brass and concert bands, and as a mentor of young musicians“.
Congratulations John Allen, and thank you for your involvement with us from 1979 through to 1996.
